Fuel earns no points under issuer terms; telecom, insurance and utility services earn a reduced, capped rate and are conservatively left unscored, along with travel, movie, wallet, cash, EMI and other special merchant or payment routes. The issuer's own current Platinum value-calculator PDF states 1 MR = INR 0.40 when redeemed against Platinum Collection vouchers; the displayed amount is restricted voucher redemption value, not cash, statement credit or a guaranteed payout. That calculator footnote is generic and indicative, based on average cardmember usage; exact Platinum Collection voucher denominations, minimums and available inventory are not public, and a selected reward can require more points or be unavailable. The current product page also advertises a fixed 20,000 MR to ₹10,000 Taj Experiences voucher (₹0.50 per MR); its mechanics are unverified, so this model stays with the stated ₹0.40. Issuer MITC lists a ₹66,000 first-year and ₹66,000 second-year-onwards membership fee plus GST, deducted here in full without assuming any waiver.
