Fuel-surcharge-only floor, not cashback or reward points. AU issuer MITC and Schedule of Charges updated 30 September 2026 explicitly name Paytm AU as lifetime free. The Schedule of Charges gives 1% fuel surcharge refund on eligible ₹400–₹5,000 purchases, capped at ₹100 per statement month. This estimate prices one eligible offline fuel purchase per month repeated twelve times, so its maximum monthly relief is ₹50 and the ₹100 cap cannot bind. The issuer states GST on the fuel surcharge is not reversed. Actual acquiring-bank surcharge may differ; no tax refund is assumed. Online and out-of-range purchases give zero relief in this model. Reward points, Paytm Gold conversion, UPI rewards, travel, lounge access and other benefits remain unpriced, not absent. No partner-blog reward value is imported.
One purchase per month
₹400 gives ₹4 monthly relief, ₹1,000 gives ₹10, and ₹5,000 gives ₹50. Repeated for twelve months, that is ₹48, ₹120 or ₹600 in surcharge relief. ₹399 and ₹5,001 are outside the eligible range. This is not the full card return: its principal reward points and Gold/UPI benefits are deliberately unpriced.
