How this estimate works

HDFC says sourcing of the Regalia card is discontinued; this model is for existing holders only. The current product page lists 4 points per ₹200 eligible retail spend, while older Regalia materials say 4 per ₹150; this model uses the current page. Points are worth ₹0.50 each for SmartBuy flights/hotels, with up to 70% of booking paid using points. HDFC caps earning at 50,000 points per statement cycle, groceries at 2,000 points per calendar month, and SmartBuy travel redemption at 50,000 points per calendar month. The estimate assumes one qualifying purchase each month and enough future eligible travel; it deducts ₹99 plus estimated GST per needed redemption. The existing-card option shows this model and a separate ignore-fee option omits renewal costs only if chosen. An existing holder may still owe ₹2,500 plus GST renewal absent a ₹3 lakh prior-year spend waiver. Fuel, government, rent, EasyEMI and wallet loads are excluded; utility chips are not projected because large utility spend may incur fees. Insurance has a 2,000-point monthly cap but lacks a distinct verified chip. Welcome/renewal points, milestones and lounges are omitted. This is travel-use value, not cash.
