How this estimate works

The issuer’s Crest rewards page lists one point per full ₹100 eligible domestic spend and ₹0.75/point cash-credit conversion; international purchases earn a different rate and are not modeled. The estimator repeats one entered ordinary domestic purchase monthly for 12 months. Crest’s terms cap cash redemption at 10,000 points per calendar month with a 500-point minimum. The April 2025 bank update separately limits each cash claim to 50% of points balance and adds a ₹149+GST fee. This ranking models one end-of-year cash claim, limited to half the modeled annual points and 10,000 points, subtracting one fee. Leftover points can have future value but are not counted in one-year cash; later claims could add value. Current issuer MITC shows ₹75,000 joining and ₹10,000 recurring annual fee with spend-linked waiver. The ranking deducts the full recurring fee plus estimated GST, excludes the substantial joining fee, and does not assume a waiver. Fuel, utilities, insurance, government, education, rent and special merchant/payment routes are left unscored; the bank separately reduces earn rates in some categories and limits reward earning to assigned credit limit per billing cycle. International bonus, lounge, golf, movie and other benefits are omitted.
