How this estimate works

IndusInd lists Shop, Home, Travel and Party reward plans for Platinum Aura Edge. Each plan lists a common 0.5 point per ₹100 for ordinary other spending; accelerated categories depend on the selected plan and merchant code. The calculator counts only this common base on one eligible purchase per month. It omits chosen-plan accelerators and welcome perks.

The issuer’s current Platinum Aura cash-credit terms value a point at ₹0.40, not the older ₹0.50 still shown on the product page. Cash redemption needs at least 500 points, with a limit of 2,500 points per calendar month. The MITC charges ₹149 plus GST per cash redemption. The issuer’s 1 April 2025 program revision limits each cash claim to the lesser of 50% of the points balance or the card’s monthly cap. The calculator projects 12 months of points and values only one claim on at most half that balance, further capped at 2,500 points; it deducts one ₹149 plus estimated GST fee. Remaining points are unvalued here, not assumed lost. Actual timing can reduce usable value.

The current MITC lists nil joining and annual card fees. Fuel earns no points. Rent, utility, government, special payment routes and unclear merchant codes are not estimated. This conservative base model is not a forecast of the best reward plan for a user.
