Only train tickets booked on IRCTC website or Rail Connect app through the dedicated chip earn the modeled 5 points per ₹200, capped at 1,000 points per billing cycle. The issuer and IRCTC state each point is worth ₹1 only toward a future IRCTC train ticket, not statement cash. Model assumes one eligible ticket purchase per month and one later redemption for another ticket. The issuer redemption guide says a manually entered partial redemption must exceed 200 points; this estimate conservatively shows zero annual ticket value until more than 200 points accrue. The card annual membership fee ₹500 + estimated GST is deducted. One-time welcome, quarterly milestone, separate FASTag/UTS/flight rates, transaction-charge waiver and other-category earning are not modeled. Even at zero card value, the ticket itself can carry service and payment gateway charges; no rail or booking fee is netted here. Confirm actual booking and redemption terms before relying on return.
