RBL Shoprite earns 20 points per full ₹100 on eligible grocery MCCs (5411, 5422, 5441, 5451, 5499), capped at 1,000 grocery points per calendar month; above that, the card-specific terms revert to one point/full ₹100. This finder conservatively caps the entire modeled grocery purchase at 1,000 points, rather than including a potential post-cap one-point residual. Other eligible ordinary retail earns one point/full ₹100. The issuer calls grocery return 5% only when each point is redeemed at up to ₹0.25; this model uses the issuer up-to ₹0.25 illustration, not cash or a guaranteed redemption. It assumes one eligible purchase per month, values annual earnings after reaching the RBL Rewards FAQ 500-point voucher threshold, deducts a single ₹99+estimated GST annual redemption fee when worthwhile and the recurring ₹500+estimated GST annual card fee in ROI. Fuel/auto, utilities, insurance, rail, rent/real estate, wallets/service providers, quasi-cash, education, government/contracted services, cash, Bills2Pay, miscellaneous and EMI earn no points. The RuPay variant may have special offline UPI transactions under ₹2,000 at small merchants excluded; UPI is not modeled. Welcome points, fee waiver, fuel surcharge and separate movie discount is not added to retail rewards. Actual grocery MCC, rewards inventory and point value may differ.
