How this estimate works

SBI Card ELITE earns 10 points per ₹100 in eligible dining, grocery and departmental-store merchant categories, with accelerated category earning capped at 10,000 points per month before the base rate of 2 points per ₹100 applies. Other eligible retail earns 2 points per ₹100. The issuer values 50,000 milestone points at ₹12,500, giving ₹0.25 per point. This model counts only full 4,000-point annual statement-credit blocks under the April 2026 rule and limits redemption to 60,000 points per calendar month. It subtracts ₹99 plus estimated GST per needed redemption request and the ₹4,999 plus estimated GST annual card fee. It assumes one qualifying purchase monthly and cap not taken by other spending; points expire after 24 months. Fuel, rent, government, wallet, utility and delivery/special merchant chips are excluded or not projected due to coding and fee uncertainty. The welcome gift, milestone points, complimentary movie tickets, lounges and conditional ₹10 lakh renewal waiver are omitted. Merchant codes and reward posting can change the estimate.
