How this estimate works

Restricted ordinary-shopping base floor, not a full-card rewards estimate. The current issuer page gives 8 YES Rewardz Points per full ₹200 ordinary non-select retail spend. This model scores only Amazon, Flipkart, Myntra and general shopping in either channel, counting one eligible transaction repeated monthly for twelve months. The issuer also publishes 16 points per full ₹200 on dining and travel MCCs with a 3,000-point statement cap, and 4 points on select categories. Dining, food delivery, Zomato, travel and select categories are omitted rather than applying the ordinary 8-point rate to an accelerated route. No overall ordinary-base cycle cap is stated; the 3,000-point cap belongs to the accelerated 16-point route and is not copied here. UPI, groceries, utilities, fuel, rent, wallets, government, cash, EMI and other special routes are omitted. The linked current redemption rules give ₹0.25 per point toward flights or hotels, not cash. A single annual flight claim needs at least 2,000 earned points and uses at most 1,00,000 points, the monthly redemption limit for Other Credit Cards. One ₹100+GST redemption charge and one ₹99+GST flight convenience charge are provisioned when worthwhile. Points cover at most 70% of a flight invoice; you pay the balance. With no invoice supplied, this is conditional on a large enough qualifying flight booking, not guaranteed savings or cashback. Cash and gift-voucher alternatives are ₹0.10 per point with a 50% available-points balance cap and are not scored. Points expire after 36 months. The estimate deducts one standard ₹999+18% GST membership charge; the issuer gives this fee in both the first and renewal years. The first-year waiver needs ₹20,000 total retail spend within one month of setup, and the renewal waiver needs ₹3,00,000 retail spend in the preceding twelve months. Neither is inferred from this scenario. Welcome, anniversary bonus, subscription, golf, lounge, fuel and other extras are omitted. Confirm actual eligible transactions and final booking charges. The named page does not state the new-issuance discontinuation notice found on FIRST Preferred; that other card status is not imported.

The minimum matters

At ₹4,000 per month in a scored shopping category, twelve months earn 1,920 points: below the redemption minimum. At ₹4,200 per month, 2,016 points are worth ₹504 toward a qualifying flight; after ₹234.82 in claim charges and ₹1,178.82 membership fee, the conditional annual net is negative ₹909.64. Both channels have the same ordinary shopping base rate. Dining and delivery are deliberately not scored. This is not cashback.
