How this estimate works

Ordinary eligible base-only conditional flight-booking value. The current issuer page gives 4 reward points per full ₹200 on eligible ordinary retail, with the same rate online and offline. The model counts one eligible transaction repeated monthly for twelve months. No overall ordinary-earn cycle cap is published on this page; the stated 300-point cycle cap applies only to utility MCC 4900, not ordinary retail. Pharmacy MCC 5912 earns 20 points per full ₹200 and is not scored because there is no pharmacy category. UPI and special or excluded routes including groceries, utilities, cable subscriptions, fuel, rent, wallets, government, advertising, insurance, education, railways, toll/ferry, jewellery, cash and EMI are omitted. The linked current redemption rules give ₹0.25 per point toward flights or hotels, not cash. A single annual flight claim needs at least 2,000 earned points and uses at most 1,00,000 points, the monthly redemption limit for Other Credit Cards. One ₹100+GST redemption charge and one ₹99+GST flight convenience charge are provisioned when worthwhile. Points cover at most 70% of a flight invoice; you pay the balance. With no invoice supplied, this is conditional on a large enough qualifying flight booking, not guaranteed savings or cashback. Cash and gift-voucher alternatives are ₹0.10 per point with a 50% available-points balance cap and are not scored. Points expire after 36 months. The estimate deducts one standard ₹499+18% GST membership charge; this applies only to new cards onboarded on or after 28 August 2024. Cards onboarded between 1 July 2022 and 28 August 2024 have ₹749+GST first/renewal fees; earlier cards retain their issuance fee. Older holders must check their actual fee and must not use this ₹499 new-cohort estimate unchanged. No fee waiver is assumed. Welcome, milestone, subscription, movie, lounge, fuel and other extras are omitted. Confirm actual eligible transactions and final booking charges.

The minimum matters

At ₹8,200 per month in either channel, twelve months earn 1,968 points: below the redemption minimum. At ₹8,400 per month, 2,016 points are worth ₹504 toward a qualifying flight; after ₹234.82 in claim charges and ₹588.82 membership fee, the conditional annual net is negative ₹319.64. Both channels have the same ordinary base rate. This is not cashback.
